Exposure to Continuous Noise Levels of 85+ dB
Could Lead to Ear Damage & Permanent Hearing Loss
In Nature Sound Does Not Exceed Beyond 80 dB
2017-2018 Research
I immersed myself to various areas in Manila, the world's most densely populated city and recorded sound levels using a decibel meter.
256km from Manila I went to Zambales, a rural area facing the South China Sea to capture sound levels of nature.
I conducted a survey through out various cities in The Philippines of 100 respondents. Asking them various questions regarding their experience in noise pollution.

What I found interesting 34.3% said there is no noise pollution in their area and 19.6% are mildly irritated. Most of these respondents who said no are located in Manila. Its hard to believe the respondents don't live in a noise polluted area and bothered nor irritated. Considering Manila is the earth's most densely populated city. Noise pollution is invisible and overlooked, an unappreciated health threat. A pollution so prevalent that cannot be seen nor be noticed.
